Computer generated sounds

Here we have some tools I use to generate sounds with the computer. Command line will be used for this purpose. Of course, these sounds don’t come from any recording.

Waves

To generate and play the sound,

play -n synth brownnoise synth pinknoise mix synth 0 0 0 15 40 80 trapezium amod 0.2 10

To store the generated sound in a file (600 seconds, or 10 minutes).

sox -n waves.wav synth brownnoise synth pinknoise mix synth 0 0 0 15 40 80 trapezium amod 0.2 10 trim 0 600
